Chances are you probably associate Black Friday and Cyber Monday with cheap deals on everything from sparkling new tech to clothes and shoes, but Travel Tuesday, which follows the blaze of shopping chaos, is basically the equivalent for flights, hotels, cruises and holidays – and this year, it’s on today!

To get a bit technical, the term was coined in 2017 when online booking platform Hopper picked up on the trend of flights being particularly affordable the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, according to the Independent. Between 2021 and 2023, searches for ‘Travel Tuesday’ have soared by 500 percent.
